Today is the SEC basketball opening day, and already, the Tennessee Volunteers have upset the Florida Gators in Knoxville. This has the makings of a wild and wooly Saturday of basketball.

The university confirmed that O’Brien signed a five-year contract that will be worth $2.3 million annually and will include built-in five-percent raises per year. In 2011, Joe Paterno was scheduled to earn $1.02 million, so obviously the price of doing business since Penn State’s last hire more than four decades ago.

Cant believe Florida lost to UT ... what a way to start the SEC off - in a hole ....

upsets in the making
Missouri down 17 with under 8 to play at K-State (probably not really an upset since it’s a road game)
Boston College only down 13 at UNC. Not that BC has any chance of winning this game, but it would be an upset if they lost be less than 30.
