LSU has one of the most amazing stats I think I’ve ever heard. They have only given up 22 inches per punt return for the entire season. Don’t think I have ever heard of such a thing.
Six quarters of football 8 field goals made. What four missed/blocked?
Chip Kelly must be going crazy, thinking “Darn Kicker”.
Oh well, Thierry Henry returned to Arsenal today and scored the winning goal. Beautiful goal. For a few seconds, the years rolled back and the young Henry returned. Lackluster game other than that with Arsenal in complete control throughout and that game was more interesting than the first half of this game.
Going to watch a few more minutes of Tora Tora Tora on the Military Channel and then off to bed. (I switched back just in time to see the TD. Man that would have been a bummer. OSU and OU is looking good too.)
in the national press. This game alone will do more for a playoff system than anything to date. There will never be a championship game among two team from the same conference and there will be a playoff system next year. What a dull and uneventful game. TV ratings really sucked.
Didn’t know you had a thread on for THE game. By the way, that was a fantastic game. Bama’s D was all world, thought I was looking at more of the NFL playoffs. ;-)
I was going to make a thread. Looked and Viola!
Thanks Glenn. I was running late!
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
I was also.
We were watching OSU-OU in basketball. :-)
Glenn Logan - January 9, 2012
I want to change the channel but this WV-UCONN game is pretty good.
KYGRLNNM - January 9, 2012
Already looking like another defensive stand off.
I think each team is playing a bit conservative, afraid of a turnover that could turn the tide of the game. :)
kywineman - January 9, 2012
Turn the tide? haha Pun intended?
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
Yes. Sorry.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
Maze ankle or hamstring?
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
Looked like a hammy....too bad , he got hurt in the last game too
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
Probably too early for a cramp.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
LSU is playing way too cautiously.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
I'm pulling for Bama. Who've you all got?
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
I am really torn but probably LSU
I think they have had the type of season that deserves to have a championship
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
What is the spread?
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
Bama -2.5
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
And I thought I had picked the underdogs. :-)
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
LSU opened as the favorite
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
LSU, I have several friends from down there.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
Bama, only because I work with a very nice older gentleman that is all about Bama and the Rammer Jammer song.
Otherwise, I wouldn’t be picking sides.
KYGRLNNM - January 9, 2012
Bama
My Dad taught there when I was a kid.
Alex Scutchfield - January 9, 2012 via iPhone app
I dont care who wins
just wanna see a good game
Bluehound - January 9, 2012
Basically the same here, but I feel the need to pick one to cheer for.
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
it amazes me
why fball players dont break more bones, I’d have casts everywhere on me lol
Bluehound - January 9, 2012
Me too, even when I was their age. ;-)
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
Yeah, those guys are tough...it is a violent game
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
yes it is
Bluehound - January 9, 2012
Hard to see many sustainable drives in this game.
Special teams and turnovers will be the key in my opinion.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
I can barely do aseaofblue
much less anything on facebook lol
Bluehound - January 9, 2012
"Do you guys know how to post videos to FacebooK"
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
LOL!
KYGRLNNM - January 9, 2012
Bama is using their TEs well
That will get them a few first downs, but not sure it is is going to net much on the scoreboard.
Alex Scutchfield - January 9, 2012 via iPhone app
Very nice Bama!
KYGRLNNM - January 9, 2012
nice catch
Bluehound - January 9, 2012
For all of the Honey Badger's virtues
He’s only 5’9
Alex Scutchfield - January 9, 2012 via iPhone app
Yep, I keep thinking he will be a special teams specialist in the NFL
Bob Sanders was a similar build I believe and he was always hurt
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
Sanders was a kamikaze nut.
Claiborne is the better cover corner.
Alex Scutchfield - January 9, 2012 via iPhone app
This is a great SEC football game.
Every yard given grudgingly, every play a war.
I love it.
Glenn Logan - January 9, 2012
Yep, I think I have seen a few teeth flyin'
:)
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
3D TV, really??? I can barely keep up with my remotes and they want me to keep up with glasses too? Me thinks NOT!!!
KYGRLNNM - January 9, 2012
LSU getting cute with the hurry up offense wounder if they will stay with it???
ukcris - January 9, 2012
Where is Richardson?
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
And why are the TV guys not mentioning it?
Alex Scutchfield - January 9, 2012 via iPhone app
Exactly, so I asked you all.
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
That tricky Saban....may be just short
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
Paid off!
KYGRLNNM - January 9, 2012
Wow!...that was razor thin
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
Half an inch!
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
game of inches ;;;; like it should be
ukcris - January 9, 2012
In a game of yards, inches make the difference.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
Speaking of inches...
LSU has one of the most amazing stats I think I’ve ever heard. They have only given up 22 inches per punt return for the entire season. Don’t think I have ever heard of such a thing.
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
wow
Bluehound - January 9, 2012
Blocked!!
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
All that sneakiness for nothing!
KYGRLNNM - January 9, 2012
LSU's mouthguards look like pacifiers. '-)
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
I think we are being hoodwinked.
The teams are off partying somewhere and we are being shown a replay of the first meeting.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
Heh.
It does look a little like that.
Glenn Logan - January 9, 2012
missed opportunities ... bama close to having two touchdowns and a blocked field goal - lot like last time
ukcris - January 9, 2012
This might be even less scoring than the first game.....
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
LSU would be up a creek
Without Wing right now
Alex Scutchfield - January 9, 2012 via iPhone app
If they had Tebow on the team
they could, get ready for it, be getting by on a wing and a prayer.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
Awww.
Alex Scutchfield - January 9, 2012
Ahh, just poured a 2nd half libation
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
I just poured sum nyquil, does that count lol
Bluehound - January 9, 2012
you end up the same either way :)
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
lol
Bluehound - January 9, 2012
robitussin w/codeine-super sick, probably won't make it through this game but making a valiant effort.
KYGRLNNM - January 9, 2012
my hats off to ya
hope you feel better soon
Bluehound - January 9, 2012
Wow, you know to party ;)
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
I'm impressed I can still type ;)
KYGRLNNM - January 9, 2012
you're doin just fine lol
Bluehound - January 9, 2012
They are keying Trent big time.....
Bama will need to use play action off him more
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
I think an air bag just deployed!!
ukcris - January 9, 2012
Hanks
is going to be one sore kid tomorrow morning
Alex Scutchfield - January 9, 2012 via iPhone app
Alabama is rollin' now
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
Roll Tide.
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
LSU needs to answer
ukcris - January 9, 2012
That was a big stand for the LSU defense.
A touchdown there would have hurt
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
I should have named my son Barkevious
Guaranteed stud FB player name
Alex Scutchfield - January 9, 2012 via iPhone app
haha
I think Colt is one too.
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
I don't undertand ...
… why Lacey is going in close to the goal in place of Trent Richardson.
Richardson is an incredible back.
But LSU’s defense is really stout.
Glenn Logan - January 9, 2012
LSU is just laying back
waiting for the 2nd half.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
Is that what we are calling it? Laying back?
KYGRLNNM - January 9, 2012
you could come up with some other adjectives as well ... score is all that really counts
ukcris - January 9, 2012
Mistake there by LSU .... that was a good play
ukcris - January 9, 2012
My brother in law is a HUGE Bama fan (in all senses)
But he is in Las Vegas for the Miss America pageant. His wife is a dance coach for Miss Alabama.
He knows whats best.
BCinVA - January 9, 2012
Alabama's defense is #1 in the nation in 3rd defense....
LSU cant be in 3rd and long against that defense. Herbie was right
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
Score Bama!!!!!
KYGRLNNM - January 9, 2012
9-0...might be all she wrote ;)
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
Three field goals in this game ...
… is like three touchdowns.
Glenn Logan - January 9, 2012
Yss, could have been much worse for LSU ...
ukcris - January 9, 2012
LSU is holding back.
They will bring in their secret weapon, Lee, to get the offense going in the 2nd half.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
Saban and Kirby Smart have this defense in a zone
LSU just has no answers right now.
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
FG Championship Of The World
Typical field position game.
Wild Weasel - January 9, 2012
chip kellys sure is squeaky lol
Bluehound - January 9, 2012
voice lol
Bluehound - January 9, 2012
OK .... $64 question ... Bama wins close game = split NC???
ukcris - January 9, 2012
The AP voters picked Alabama 2nd in the final polls
I think they would give them the #1 spot
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
That's the way the cookie crumbles I guess... hate it for LSU they have played a real murder's row of a schedule
ukcris - January 9, 2012
If this isn't a winner take all,
then what’s the point?
kywineman - January 9, 2012
I've never really understood how that all works.
KYGRLNNM - January 9, 2012
Really its not a close game to this point ... Bama playing very well
ukcris - January 9, 2012
2nd Half and LSU shows it has a friend at the Colorado School of Mines too?
.. and we see the “jet sweep” or whatever they are calling it today!

darkandbloody@gmail.com - January 9, 2012
Maze's reaction is sad.
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
They are pickin on the Honey Badger
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
Honey Badger don't give a $#*%.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
lol
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
I was really hoping for a TD but I guess a FG will do.
KYGRLNNM - January 9, 2012
LSU has started slow before
One TD and this is a game again.
Alex Scutchfield - January 9, 2012
Does Miles consider going with Jaret Lee soon?
Alex Scutchfield - January 9, 2012
Lots of chatter for that
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
Bama didn't prepare for Lee. Who knows what might happen?
kywineman - January 9, 2012
I predicted it above.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
LSU still didn't make it across mid ield
ukcris - January 9, 2012
Must be because Bama is knocking the f out of them.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
lol .... I noticed that too
ukcris - January 9, 2012
Mathieu is being neutralized
in part because Alabama has only punted once. We’ll see what happens here.
Alex Scutchfield - January 9, 2012
NM out! See you guys Wednesday. Now I must sleeeeep.
KYGRLNNM - January 9, 2012
Night kygirl
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
Arkansas pounding Miss St 75-58
ukcris - January 9, 2012
This is total domination by the Alabama defense...Total!
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
Jefferson has to be done now.
Alex Scutchfield - January 9, 2012
Maybe they could use him at LB, though
Alex Scutchfield - January 9, 2012
That's a blown knee
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
that was really nasty looking
ukcris - January 9, 2012
It looked like a knee to me as well.
Glenn Logan - January 9, 2012
This is the equivalent ...
… of death by Chinese water torture for the Tigers.
Glenn Logan - January 9, 2012
This is one of the best defensive performances for a defense in championship history
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
Looks like the LSU defense has spent way too much time on the field ...
jeffy - January 9, 2012
yeppers ... they haven't been able to defend the "3" very well .... Bama is 5 of 7 from 3
ukcris - January 9, 2012
Wow.
LSU still hasn’t crossed the 50.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
The 50 yard line is to LSU
like the goal line is to Bama
jeffy - January 9, 2012
NEVER been a shutout in a BCS game. Wow what defense we are seeing.
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
Wow, Brent is right..."a mauling"
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
There will be a high tide in New Orleans tonight.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
TD!!!!!
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
ukcris - January 9, 2012
Eight quarters of football
and finally a TD.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
TOUCHDOWN
Going to watch a few more minutes of Tora Tora Tora on the Military Channel and then off to bed. (I switched back just in time to see the TD. Man that would have been a bummer. OSU and OU is looking good too.)
What a boring game. Just like expected.
darkandbloody@gmail.com - January 9, 2012
Elephants, Tigers, Honeybadgers, .... its been been a "zoo" ... night y'all
ukcris - January 9, 2012
haha
a2d2 - January 9, 2012
lol night
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
Only an extreme homer
would vote for LSU now.
kywineman - January 9, 2012
agree...... dominating performance by alabama ..... off to work now - crap :(
ukcris - January 10, 2012
That, my friends, was a good old fashioned whoopin'
SevenRings - January 9, 2012
Loss Cost "Hatter" $5.7M
Not only was Les Miles out-schemed and out-coached the Bama beat down cost him $5.7M in contract bonuses over the next 6 years.
Wild Weasel - January 10, 2012
This loss covers 6 years? Must be some contract!
a2d2 - January 10, 2012
That has to hurt.
KYGRLNNM - January 10, 2012
From what I have read
in the national press. This game alone will do more for a playoff system than anything to date. There will never be a championship game among two team from the same conference and there will be a playoff system next year. What a dull and uneventful game. TV ratings really sucked.
oldcat73 - January 10, 2012
A playoff system should not preclude
a championship game between teams from the same conference, it should just make it a little harder and more justifiable should it happen.
kywineman - January 10, 2012
I'm completely annoyed the only touchdown scored was after I fell asleep!
KYGRLNNM - January 10, 2012
snooze you lose .... :)
ukcris - January 10, 2012
exception for drug induced coma .....
ukcris - January 10, 2012
Dang it!
Didn’t know you had a thread on for THE game. By the way, that was a fantastic game. Bama’s D was all world, thought I was looking at more of the NFL playoffs. ;-)
