First of all, treat this as home base for all discussion about National Signing Day today. It is during this time where Kentucky , and most other schools, will learn the makeup of the lion's share of their 2012 recruiting class.
I'll be moving this thread to the top all day, so look for new posts and updates just below this one. I will update this post periodically with new information as it comes in.
National Signing Day is a huge deal around most of the SEC, but at Kentucky it is less so. While UK fans are very fond of our football, this is mainly a basketball school and therefore this event is not nearly as big as something like Big Blue Madness. The thing that makes NSD unique is the sheer number of athletes each school signs, so the news dribbles in all day. Plus, for the schools who tend to get highly-ranked national recruiting classes, there is often quite a bit of drama about whether this prospect or that will actually sign his National Letter of Intent, or hang out for awhile considering others.
We'll see. Updates as we get them in. After the jump, we'll list what we know. Be sure to hit refresh often.

Dorial Green-Beckham to announce at 9:15 ET
As a Texas fan, I’ve been following this one pretty closely. Longhorn nation was confident in Nov/Dec, but lost a lot of steam.
Reportedly, he’s already called OU and Texas to tell them he’s not coming. Called Alabama earlier in the week or last week as well.
All signs point to Missouri over Arkansas. Huge get for Pinkel as an SEC entrance exam.
jc25 - February 1, 2012
Jody Demling has this on Justin Taylor
See here.
Glenn Logan - February 1, 2012
I'm out for a few minutes. Gotta get to the office.

Gets a commit from Bralon Addison, had been committed to Texas A&M. Dude’s from my school district. He’s a baller.
jc25 - February 1, 2012
Justin Taylor
Has signed with UK as well. Per Bleed Blue Kentucky, there are 19 LOIs in already. Class is only 6 away from being complete.

mrmondaynite - February 1, 2012
Per Chris Fisher
Gus Malzahn had Cam Newton call Whitlow to try to convince him to keep his Ark State commitment.
jc25 - February 1, 2012
Whitlow went to my nephew's HS......he is supposedly really something to watch......
a lot of schools talked to him, and his coaching staff….
Greg Alan Edwards - February 1, 2012
Almost done.
mrmondaynite - February 1, 2012
The football maniacs are conspicuously absent this morning.
mrmondaynite - February 1, 2012
Yeah, it's the middle of the workday.
That’s not too surprising. I expect they’ll be around here at lunch.
Glenn Logan - February 1, 2012
Darn work. ;-)
a2d2 - February 1, 2012
Three players appear to be outstanding as of now.
T.J. Jones OL 6-5/276 2*
Daniel Ross DE 6-5/280 3*
Kadeem Thomas LB 6-0/230 3*
Glenn Logan - February 1, 2012
For those who know
What are the biggest surprises/additions for UK today?
JLeverenz - February 1, 2012
I'd say Justin Taylor.
He was committed to Alabama before signing with UK.
Glenn Logan - February 1, 2012
You can probably put Jalen Whitlow in that category as well.
Glenn Logan - February 1, 2012
Yes, Taylor was a surprise and Whitlow was a nice late addition.
mrmondaynite - February 1, 2012
And Jones is in the fold.
T.J. Jones, a 6-6 OL from Myrtle Beach, S.C., has sent his LOI to the Cats. Jones projects as a tackle collegiately. #UKnsd
Glenn Logan - February 1, 2012
Last two standing (uncommitted)
Daniel Ross DE 6-5/280 3*
Kadeem Thomas LB 6-0/230 3*
Glenn Logan - February 1, 2012
maybe
Y’all can borrow some wide recievers from Tennessee! This is crazy! Tennessee just signed another WR.
tenken - February 1, 2012 via mobile
Tennessee has a monster class.
mrmondaynite - February 1, 2012
Dooley is on a mission from God after losing to us last year.......lol
he won’t keep his job if that ever happens again
Greg Alan Edwards - February 1, 2012
Does he wear sunglasses while driving in the dark?
JLeverenz - February 1, 2012
Fix the cigarette lighter!
EagleTDL - February 1, 2012
At this poinet, if UK has even remotely competent QB play,
a leader (like Trevathan) emerges on defense, and Minter coaches the D up, UK should beat UT again this coming year.
mrmondaynite - February 1, 2012
haha, "poinet"
mrmondaynite - February 1, 2012
a monster
Class of WRs! I’m kind of ticked. We know Draw Bowles. They signed a five star wr that wasn’t supposed to sign. Where does that leave Drae. Ugh!
tenken - February 1, 2012 via mobile
that
Was supposed to be Drae Bowles … AUTOCORRECT! UGH!
tenken - February 1, 2012 via mobile
that

tenken - February 1, 2012 via mobile
UT, Mizzou and Texas A&M have all surprised me.
And, of course, they’re SEC teams.
mrmondaynite - February 1, 2012
And then there was one. Kadeem Thomas on board.
Florida LB Kadeem Thomas has faxed his LOI to UK. 24 on board now (Jeff Drummond)
Glenn Logan - February 1, 2012
Hearing Ross may have academic issues ...
… and may have to go juco.
Glenn Logan - February 1, 2012
Bleed Blue Kentucky says academics are also why Pearson ended up at WKU
KDH2011 - February 1, 2012
2nd straight year UK's stolen a Bama grayshirt
Seems like a pretty good way to operate. I am entirely happy with the class.
KDH2011 - February 1, 2012
It looks good to me.
Glenn Logan - February 1, 2012
Nice!
a2d2 - February 1, 2012
Is Justin Taylor back to full health?
Grasslands1 - February 1, 2012
Not sure.
If not, he still has time to get there.
Glenn Logan - February 1, 2012
Joker Phillips's tweets on UK signing class.
Here.
Glenn Logan - February 1, 2012
Yet another.
Sterling Wright, a 5-11 DB from Miami who played prep ball at N.C. Tech last yr, has signed w/ UK. Known as hard hitter w/ good range #UKnsd (UKAthleticsNews)
Glenn Logan - February 1, 2012
RBs
Even though only one tailback is on the field at a time, you can’t have too much depth at running back.
doldham - February 1, 2012
Not going to allow myself to start getting all wound up, but not a terrible looking class
Wish there were a few more stars in there, but I guess it could be a lot worse.
Greg Alan Edwards - February 1, 2012
I agree with all.
Definitely holding my judgement until I see with my own eyes what our coaching staff can do with what appears to be a decent class. Having all the talent in the world doesn’t matter if you don’t know how to coach it.
hoboat33 - February 1, 2012
According to a Jody Demling tweet...
… Daniel Ross will Juco or prep. That’s pretty much a wrap.
Glenn Logan - February 1, 2012
Welcome to the "family" guys!
Very happy to have you!
a2d2 - February 1, 2012
Are 26 recruits the right number?
a2d2 - February 1, 2012
We get 25 scholarship signees
but JD Harmon is a preferred walk-on, so 26 sounds right to me.
KDH2011 - February 1, 2012
Thanks KDH!
a2d2 - February 1, 2012
Signees for Football
From what I have seen here and Joker’s tweets I think we and he are very pleased with the new football guys.

I am so glad you are still here! I just have to say that I follow all the UK athletics and both football and basketball…my fav’s, but also John Holmes @ UK golf because from Campbellsville…great alum of UK.
kykat51 - February 1, 2012
We're going to be watching Holmes for years.
He has a solid game and has established himself on the tour as a contender. I’m always rooting for him first……… then Tiger, McIlroy and Michelson.
Good to hear from you.
hoboat33 - February 1, 2012
Welcome back kykat,
I have been worried about you for over a year now. I hope all is well.
Grasslands1 - February 1, 2012
Grasslands
Thank you…I am so very grateful to be back with all my friends here. All is ok with me and the dear Lord saw it fit that I remain with the BBN instead of the big blue heavens.
Hey, I am a Kat (as in cat lives 7)…still have 2 to go!
kykat51 - February 1, 2012
Oops
Or is it nine?…lol
kykat51 - February 2, 2012
LOL A2
Cannot help…I love football!
kykat51 - February 1, 2012
Kat, I sure do too.
I always wanted to know what you knew about football. I have learned a lot. Still plenty to learn, I’m sure.
a2d2 - February 1, 2012
Hey girl
I am sure you have have learned plenty from here and your bro Eagle lol…is he really your brother?…sweet…I think so. Nice to have him here.
kykat51 - February 1, 2012
No not really my Bro
He started referring to me as “mom” in a couple of threads. Since I tend to think younger, I suggested “Sis” sounded better. :-) So, Eagle calls me Sis.
a2d2 - February 2, 2012
Yeah kykat, the "Mom" thing was corrected right quick! :-)
It all started when she put up a new avatar of one of her Grandsons… I didn’t think calling her “G-Mom” was right, so went to “Mom”. Cue the conversation above… My Granpappy called my Mom “Sis” when he was still around, so it’s a good memory for me. I’ll share with a2, she’s good people!
EagleTDL - February 2, 2012
And hey, kykat, nice to meet ya!
EagleTDL - February 2, 2012
Then I am very honored to be called "Sis".
